Week Ten had a few close calls but not many true upsets in the ranks of college football.
Auburn got the biggest win of the night, taking down Ole Miss. That gets the Tigers a bump, and for the Rebels it means curtains for their playoff chances. Fellow SEC member Georgia saw its national title dream fade away and puts its conference title shot on life support with an embarrassing loss to Florida. The Dawgs now have two losses, and they’re against two bad teams, Florida and South Carolina.
TCU survived West Virginia, as did Florida State at Louisville. Arizona State squeaked past Utah in Overtime, and Arizona wasn’t so lucky against UCLA.
The two power conference undefeateds stay on top of the ranking, though neither one looked particularly national title worthy this week. Auburn will certainly be feeling weird soon having to cheer for Alabama to knock off Mississippi State.
